November 25, 2011 Game

Temple Running Back Bernard Pierce

TEMPLE – Overall 8 –4, MAC 5 -3

Result – Won 34 – 16 vs. Kent State at Lincoln Financial Field

Summary –Temple running backs Bernard Pierce and Matt Brown were named as the MAC Offensive Players of the Week.

Pierce won the honor for the 8th time as he ran for a season-high 189 yards and scored 3 touchdowns on 24 carries.  It was the 17th game where Pierce ran for over 100 yards, 8 for this campaign.  Running Back Matt Brown took a kickoff return for 100 yards in the win.  Timing is everything as his return came immediately following a Kent State touchdown that gave the Golden Flashes a 6 – early lead.  The Brown return and PAT erased the only deficit the Owls faced in the game.

Next Game –  Bowl Game?
