Devon White Will Not Use Final Season Of Eligibility At LaSalle

PHILADELPHIA – Men’s basketball forward Devon White will graduate this May and will not use his final season of eligibility at La Salle University, head coach Dr. John Giannini announced today.

“We tell our student-athletes that their primary goal is to graduate and to expand their options for life after basketball,” Giannini said. “Devon has worked very hard to graduate on time and I am very proud of his accomplishment. It has been a pleasure to see Devon grow as a student and as a person.”

White averaged 5.8 ppg. and 4.7 rpg. this season for the Explorers, who went 21-13 and reached the NIT after tying for fifth in the Atlantic 10.

La Salle returns four of five starters, including Second Team All-Atlantic 10 selection Ramon Galloway, NABC All-District pick Tyreek Duren,  Atlantic 10 All-Rookie selection Jerrell Wright and double-figure scorer Sam Mills.

In a recent development White announced that he received clearance and will play at Niagara next season.

The Explorers will add Virginia Tech transfer Tyrone Garland, redshirt freshman Rohan Brown and fall signee Jermaine Davis.
