Saint Joseph’s Falls To Arizona At CRC

CHESTER, PA. 6/4/2016 – The Saint Joseph’s Hawks fell behind for the third straight game.  This time they could not rally past the Arizona Wildcats losing 14 – 5 at the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championships.  The Hawks conclude pool round competition with a 2 – 1 record, and will place highest of the Philadelphia schools in the CRC. Arizona wins Pool C with a 3 – 0 record.

Ben Joseph scored two tries in the game.  His first came at the 2:53 mark of the first half.  The conversion was good and Arizona had a 7 – 0 lead that they took into intermission.

THWNDThe Hawks scored the first second half try when Chris Curcio crossed the line at 6:01 cutting the deficit to 7 – 5.  This time Arizona got the dagger score with 4:25 on the clock and held the lead.

Curcio and Aram Keshgegian led the Hawks in scoring with three tries each in round robin play.

Saint Joe’s awaits the next opponent to be determined for a match on Sunday.
