Temple Falls To Utah In Pool Play At CRC Sevens Championships

CHESTER, PA. 6/4/2016 – The Temple Owls fell to Utah 21 – 14 in Pool F competition at the CRC Rugby Sevens Championships at Talen Energy Stadium.  The Owls are 0 – 2 in pool play losing 17 – 5 to Dartmouth earlier in the day.

Utah got the first try of the day at the 5:20 mark.  The Owls tied it with 2:58 on the clock in the first half when Peter Mulville scored on a try.  Just before intermission Utah took the lead for good with a try, then added another in the second half Chad Gough crossed the line.  The Utes were good on all their conversion attempts.

Anthony Sciarra closed the scoring with a try for the Owls with 49 seconds on the clock to make the final 21 – 14.

The final game of the day for Temple will be against Clemson later on Saturday.
